The Peartree Centre

The Peartree CentreAl Murray at the Grand Opening

The Peartree Centre, 1 Chadds Lane, Peartree Bridge, Milton Keynes, MK6 3EB.

One of only a handful of such buildings in the country, The Peartree Centre has been designed with older people in mind.  It is modern, comfortable, light and airy; a building that people will enjoy spending time in.

Age UK Milton Keynes has responded to the tremendous pressure to keep pace with the growing demands of an ageing population in Milton Keynes by building this centre, which is open to everyone. The Peartree Centre is a resource centre providing a lifeline to thousands of older people throughout Milton Keynes. We offer:

  • freshly cooked meals and a chance to make new friends and socialise: weekly lunch club
  • a secure venue for social events and activities: outside voluntary groups regularly use the building
  • pensions and benefits advice: see info and advice
  • advocacy
  • computer training in small groups
The Peartree Centre
The money to pay for this one stop centre for older people has come from a variety of sources. It includes grants from the Big Lottery, the Wolfson Foundation, the MK Community Foundation, and the Margaret Powell Grants Fund, as well as from Town and Parish Councils and others. We have also received generous donations from businesses and individuals. Many people have held fundraising events, small and large, over the years. Without the kind support of our many friends the Peartree Centre would never have been built.

A great venue for older people

Bus routes 4, 4A, 10 and 10A are the most convenient for The Peartree Centre.
