A voice for older people in Milton Keynes

Senior Voice is a group of older people over 60 years of age which aims to:

vAct as the focus for the views of the over 60s in Milton Keynes

vRepresent those views as fairly and inclusively as possible

vMake sure that the voice is effective.

Senior Voice MK works on issues raised by older people at Age UK Milton Keynes’ Annual Forums, and provides feedback on progress.  Members invite speakers to their quarterly meetings – the topics to date being MK General Hospital, Social Services and transport. Age UK Milton Keynes provides information and secretariat, but Senior Voice is independent and controlled by older people.  At present there is a vacancy and we are looking for new members to join.

Senior Voice MK would like to hear the views of older people about local services (good and bad), or about any issues which affect their quality of life. However, we regret that the Senior Voice volunteers are not able to act as advocates or give advice on individual cases.  Please contact Cathy Irving on 01908 557878 (Monday to Wednesday), write to her at The Peartree Centre, 1 Chadds Lane, Milton Keynes MK6 3EB, or e-mail.
