DEGA Day Club

You can be sure of a warm welcome at DEGA

The DEGA Day Club provides day care and company for frail older people living in Woburn Sands and the surrounding villages.

The club is held in Aspley Guise Village Hall on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm.

It is run by two organisers and a team of dedicated volunteers.  They aim to encourage people to enjoy social contact and to join in with activities which are tailored to each individual’s needs and abilities.

Morning refreshments and a freshly cooked lunch are provided.  Wherever possible outings are arranged.

The cost for the day is £5.

The DEGA club is particularly suited to the needs of older people who are mentally frail.  As well as providing a caring safe environment for its members it also gives support and relief to carers and relatives.

The DEGA club is supported by The DEGA Project which is a locally based charity.  It is also supported by Age UK Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes Council and Bedfordshire County Council.

The club has now been running for over 15 years and continues to make a positive difference to the lives of older people and their families.

We always need volunteer drivers for the DEGA Day Club.  If you would be able to drive members to and from the club on a Monday and/or Thursday we would love to hear from you.  We pay out of pocket expenses – all it costs you is your time.  Please call our Volunteer Coordinator on 01908 550700 if you’d like to help.
